Austrian Hiking Quality Seal for the Großarltal valley
Hiking and biking in the Großarltal valley

Lace up your hiking boots, pack a rucksack or go up on the bike – you can experience the natural environment up close when hiking, mountaineering and biking in the Großarltal valley! Design your own hiking holiday as the mood takes you: whether a leisurely hike to an alpine hut, demanding high mountain tours or interesting themed hikes – everyone will find the right route for them over the 400km network of hiking trails.

Hit the pedals!

The combination of a sporting challenge and experience in the natural surroundings in the middle of the Hohe Tauern is also a highlight when you go biking and cycling in the Großarltal valley. The choice ranges from flat valley bike trails for relaxed family outings and leisurely e-bike tours to trails for pro mountain bikers. The Großarltal region has a 140 km cycle path network and 16 marked MTB routes at altitudes ranging from 300 m to 1,000 m, with, of course, tricky single trails and exciting downhill routes!

Many of the hiking and bike tours start right outside our Haarlehen farm, but you can also join a guided hike or mountain hike or use the hiking taxi.

For enthusiastic pleasure cyclists and adventurous mountain bikers, we also have a lockable garage.
